The Restaurant & Catering Association of Australia and Unilever Food Solutions have joined forces to support #EatAloneTogether, to encourage Aussies all over the country to help local businesses by ordering takeaway or delivery from their favourite restaurants and sharing their experiences using the #EatAloneTogether hashtag.
“#EatAloneTogether is about helping your favourite local restaurant, café or venue, survive post COVID-19. It is more important now than ever before to get out and patronise your favourite local restaurant to ensure they can be here, continuing to serve, post COVID-19.”
“Our restaurant industry is essential to the economic and social prosperity of millions of Australians. Eating out is an integral part of the Australian culture and the restaurant industry provides employment for people across the nation. If we want to continue enjoying our local neighbourhood cafes and restaurants, we need to support them now so that their doors can remain open when we come out on the other side of this pandemic.”
Update: On Tuesday, May 19th 2020, thousands of Australians joined the movement to #EatAloneTogether. Thank you! Let’s keep the momentum going by continuing to support our local restaurants and #EatAloneTogether.
It's here!!! Today is #EatAloneTogether National Takeout Day!!! 🍔🌯🍣🍕🥡 A day of guilt-free takeaway to help support the hospitality industry.
Don't forget to post your dining experience whether that be a photo, video or even a virtual party with the hashtag #EatAloneTogether so we truly are in this together! Tag your restaurant and share, promote and repost to your family and friends.
