What you need

The chicken in this burger is marinated in buttermilk, giving it an extra succulent texture and flavour. Marinate for as long as possible, preferably overnight. The herb & spice blend is a combination of classic Southern fried chicken seasonings.



  1. What you need

    • Select the number of serves you require for this recipe, and the quantity of ingredients will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
  2. Chicken

    • In a large bowl, combine the chicken thigh fillets and buttermilk. Mix until well coated, cover, and refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight.
    • Combine the plain flour with all the dried herbs and spices in another bowl. Season.
    • Drain the chicken from the buttermilk marinade. Toss the fillets in the flour mix to coat.
    • Deep-fry the chicken fillets until golden brown and cooked through. Drain and set aside.
  3. BBQ Mayo

    • Mix KNORR American Chipotle BBQ Sauce with HELLMANN'S Real Mayonnaise until well combined.
  4. To Assemble & Serve

    • Lightly toast the burger buns.
    • Spread both halves of each bun with the BBQ mayo.
    • Top with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, fried chicken, and cheese.
    • Serve with hot chips and housemade coleslaw on the side.
