It’s not every day that an acclaimed restaurateur and Michelin-starred chef does a live demonstration. So on 2nd November 2019, it was an opportunity of a lifetime for a select group of chefs and guests who were treated to a risotto-making demo by the “godfather of modern dining” himself – Marco Pierre White.

The celebrity chef and TV personality made a special appearance at this year's Taste of Auckland food festival. At an invitation-only event hosted by Unilever Food Solutions for foodservice professionals, the British master chef demonstrated the making of a classic risotto, featuring a staple for chefs' kitchens – Knorr Concentrated Liquid Stock.

Alongside tips for the perfect risotto, White also dished out advice and insights on the challenges for the food service industry and a changing restaurant landscape.
