A real staple for any fish and chip shop. Crispy lightly battered fish with a tangy fresh made tartare. Great lunch for a sunny day down at the beach.

Preparation

  1. What you need

    • Select the number of serves you require for this recipe, and the quantity of ingredients will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
  2. Fish

    • Season the plain flour with salt and pepper.
    • Dust the fish fillets with seasoned flour, dip in egg wash, then toss in panko crumbs.
    • Cover and refrigerate.
    • Deep fry the crumbed fillets until golden and cooked through. Drain and keep warm.
  3. Tartare Sauce

    • Combine HELLMANN'S Real Mayonnaise, pickles, and dill in a bowl.
  4. To Assemble & Serve

    • Lightly toast the soft buns. Spread both halves with tartare sauce.
    • Layer with mixed lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and fish fillet. Serve immediately.
