Preparation

  1. What you need

    • Select the number of serves you require for this recipe, and the quantity of ingredients will be automatically adjusted accordingly.
  2. Tofu

    • Combine panko and spices in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
    • In a separate bowl, combine HELLMANN’S Real Mayonnaise with plant-based milk. Whisk together to loosen the mayonnaise.
    • Heat a deep fryer (or shallow fry) to 180°C.
    • Dip each tofu cube into the mayonnaise mixture, then into the crumb mixture. Press coating onto cubes to adhere well to the cubes.
    • Cook the tofu in batches in the fryer for 4–5 minutes or until cooked and golden, turning if necessary.
    • Drain on paper towel.
  3. Hot Honey

    • In a small saucepan, combine the gochujang paste and honey. Gently warm over a low heat and stir to combine.
  4. To Serve

    • Thread tofu onto skewers, 3 each skewer.
    • Drizzle with the hot honey and sprinkle with sliced spring onions.
    • Serve with lime wedges
